Income Tax and Bankruptcy

Posted by Frozy on Friday, December 29, 2006 in
Well.. For those who are working in india, this is the most scary time in the entire year.. Yeah worse than being forced to watch Hindi mega serials.. It’s the income tax savings period.. Whenever 2 people meet, this is the first (or ultimate) question they ask each other..

For those who ARE working, how much did you people invest to save tax?

I am successfully at below par performance.. The damned tax dept can any minute appear and take off even my loin cloths.. The condition is critical..

The reason being, I masterfully thinking for days on end, (even did a round table conference with my friends) told the finance dept that I will invest FULL Rs100, 000. The company took my word for granted (they should be kicked first.. To take the words of a 25 years old metro bachelor at face value) and did not deduct any tax and now they are asking me to invest or pay the tax.. So I give them bad words, show rude signs behind their backs and cry, ‘unfair’..

Thought of taking a personal loan and invest.. But when I went to loan sharks, they kicked me out.. Fools.. apparently that business model does not work it seems..

Parents have categorically denied me any further loans.. When i asked for money, they asked me the interest on the money they loaned me for my rental advance.. So i suddenly got partial amnesia and forgot the topic.. My room mate is more pathetic.. He has moved into kanji (a local food, which is just rice + water + beans) to save money.. Close friends are posting messages on Orkut saying that "I am bankrupt".. guess they are taking anticipatory bail.. hmmmm..

So this is a general public request asking for money.. Any grateful soul who has some spare money can loan me what ever they can afford. Will return the same within 3 months.. Its the word of a 25 years old metro bachelor..
